Presentation of the Wilaya

          The daira Skikda comes from the administrative division of 1974. It consists of thirteen (13) dairas grouping thirty eight (38) municipalities and covers an area of 4137.68 square kilometers with 130 kilometers of coastline.

          El Harrouch (Arabic: الحروش) is a town in eastern Algeria in north Constantine, 30 km from Skikda, Constantine 50 km, 80 km and 90 km of Guelma Annaba, El-called El-Arrouch Harrouch yet is the birthplace of shaheed Bashir Boukadoum, previous Algerian President Ali Kafi 1992-1994, the best historian of modern Algeria and the FLN activist Mohamed Harbi, former Head of State Mouloud Hamrouche.

          Azzaba is daira of Skikda about 38 000 inhabitants. It is the largest of the Wilaya Daira. It is located near the wadi Fendeck 34 kilometers from Skikda, Annaba 67 kilometers and 70 kilometers from Constantine. Formerly Jemmapes (during the French colonization), she was baptized Azzaba independence. The commune financial resources were mainly based on income of some food industries, as well as mercury complex (closed for some years).

          Collo is a city of Algeria carved genuine mountain ranges bordering the Mediterranean, in the Tell Atlas Oriental. Collo is located in a bay that bears his name. The coastline is 31 km. The extreme points of Collo territory are: Ras Elkebir, north and south, Koudiat Taleža between Oued Guebli and Oued Cherka.           Aïn Kechra (Arabic: عين قشرة) is a daira of Skikda. The number of inhabitants of Aïn Kechra is less than 25 000. It is one of four areas of this landlocked province which lies on Mediterranean Wed. It was named after its capital, Aïn Kechra.

          Ben Azzouz (Arabic: بن عزوز) is one of the largest daïras of Skikda. Almost 46,000 inhabitants live in an area of 504.19 km2. His name is inseparable from the culture of watermelon, prickly pear. This is one of the coastal areas of the province, is included in the section, which extends from Filfila in Marsa, through Guerbes, a distance of over 65 km of roads rehabilitated recently.

         The daira El Hadaik (Arabic: الحدائق) is extended over an area of 271.75 km², as the name suggests inseparable from the culture of mandarin, it has nearly 23,605 inhabitants, revived since the opening of the university 20 August 1955 always extended.

         OUM TOUB (Arabic: أم الطوب) is a town in eastern Algeria in north Constantine, 70 km from Skikda, Constantine 80 km, 100 km and 120 km of Guelma Annaba.

           Ramdane Djamel (Arabic: رمضان جمال) is a town in eastern Algeria in north Constantine, 17 km from Skikda, Constantine 67 km, 70 km and 86 km of Guelma Annaba.

          SIDI MEZGHICHE (Arabic: سيدي مزغيش) is a town in eastern Algeria in north Constantine, 40 km from Skikda, Constantine 60 km, 110 km and 120 km of Guelma Annaba.

          Tamalous (Arabic: تمالوس) is a town in eastern Algeria in north Constantine, 50 km from Skikda, Constantine 75 km, 120 km and 130 km of Guelma Annaba.

         ZITOUNA (Arabic: الزيتونة) is a daira of Skikda. It is a mountainous region (natural environment of Foughalis?)
