          Azzaba is daira of Skikda about 38 000 inhabitants. It is the largest of the Wilaya Daira. It is located near the wadi Fendeck 34 kilometers from Skikda, Annaba 67 kilometers and 70 kilometers from Constantine. Formerly Jemmapes (during the French colonization), she was baptized Azzaba independence. The commune financial resources were mainly based on income of some food industries, as well as mercury complex (closed for some years).
